This painting is an intuitive response to global warming, especially in its effects on trees and plants. Diluted oil paint forms a background on which are built up areas of paint. There is a thin line of gold leaf running from top to bottom: a symbol of hope and continuance. I want the viewer to share in the fragile beauty of nature and to care for it.
